
Adhesa Plate and Label Recognized Constructions:
The nameplate and label constructions that Adhesa Plate Mfg has recognition for under Underwriter Laboratories Marking and Labeling Systems-Component (standard UL 969) is file #: LP1964. Adhesa Plate has UL recognitions for pressure sensitive labels as follows:
1) Printed polycarbonate (Lexan) Labels, (AdhesaLex and AdhesaLex LSE).
- Polycarbonate (Lexan) Labels: UL recognized construction AdhesaLex.
Certified thickness range from .005" and .030". Adhesa Plate is also certified to supply both 2 mil (3M467) & 5 mil (3M468) adhesives.
These surfaces have been tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories:
Epoxy plastic, aluminum, galvanized steel, alkyd enamel, acrylic paint, polyphenylene oxide, nylon, ABS plastic, stainless steel, porcelain, polyurethane paint, polycarbonate, and polyethylene terephthalate plastic.
Maximum temperature ranges from 40°C (110°F) to 80°C (170°F). Minimum temperature -40° (-40°F).
- Polycarbonate (Lexan) Labels: UL recognized construction AdhesaLex LSE.
Certified thickness range from .005" and .020". Suitable for indoor & outdoor use using 3M 9471LE adhesive.
These surfaces have been tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories:
Acrylic powder paint, epoxy powder paint, polyester powder paint, & urethane powder paint, Nylon, polypropylene, polycarbonate, ABS, HDPE, LDPE, & polystyrene.
Maximum temperature 80°C (176°F). Minimum temperature -40° (-40°F).
2) Printed polyester (AdhesaFlex-P and AdhesaTherm) and vinyl (AdhesaFlex-V) labels.
- Polyester Labels: Adhesa Plate UL recognized construction AdhesaFlex-P.
Certification includes labels printed on matte silver mylar, white, and clear pressure sensitive polyester with adhesive suitable for application to smooth high surface energy materials. These labels are available with a matte or gloss polyester overlaminate.
These surfaces have been tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories:
Aluminum, galvanized steel, acrylic paint, stainless steel, alkyd enamel, porcelain, ABS plastic, nylon, polycarbonate, polyphenylene oxide, melamine plastic, phenolic plastic, polystyrene plastic, polypropylene plastic, polyester plastic.
Maximum temperature ranges from 150°C (302°F) to 40°C (104°F). Minimum temperature from -40°C (-40°F) to -29°C (-20.2°F). Suitable where exposed to high humidity or occassional exposure to water.
- Polyester Labels: Adhesa Plate UL recognized construction AdhesaTherm.
Certification include labels printed on 3M 7871 white polyester with 3M 350 LSE adhesive. For indoor & outdoor use. Suitable for application on smooth or textured surfaces. Excellent high temperature resistance. Excellent adhesion to Low Surface Energy (LSE) plastics and powder coats. Many surfaces have been tested and approved by UL. See our file on UL website.
Maximum temperature ranges from 60°C (140°F) to 125°C (257°F). Minimum temperature -40°C (-40°F).
3) Printed aluminum (AdhesaFoil) labels.
- Aluminum Labels: Adhesa Plate UL recognized construction AdhesaFoil.
Certification includes labels printed on aluminum between .003" and .005" supplied with 3M467 & 3M468 adhesive.
These surfaces have been tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories:
Aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless steel, alkyd enamel, porcelain, polyurethane paint, ABS plastic, nylon, polycarbonate plastic, and polyphenylene oxide plastic.
Maximum temperature 60°C (140°F). Suitable where exposed to high humidity or occassional exposure to water.
