Q: When ordering a label, is it important to mention that it is being used outdoors?
A: Most definitely. The elements from sun, moisture & temperature need to be accounted for. We have outdoor materials, inks & overlaminates that are resistant or add resistance from UV and moisture.
Q: I want the durability of a polycarbonate label. The material is clear. Can I use the clear properties and have the product color show through as the background instead of matching a printed color to the product?
A: It is not recommended. The adhesive that is required to adhere the product to your device has blemishes, and will cause a poor cosmetic value
Q: Does a standard rectangle label need a custom tool to cut to size?
A: Adhesa Plate Mfg. is able to cut to .030" tolerance using a guillotine cutter. We also have a supporting machine that can radius the corners to 1/16” increments. Adhesa Plate can also laser cut or plotter cut using digital processing for smaller quantity jobs.
Q: I would like to order a new label. What information does Adhesa Plate need to quote and later produce the new label?
A: Quantity, part size, number of colors, and application of the label.
Q: For prototypes or small quantity label orders, does expensive tooling always need to be purchase?
A: No, Adhesa Plate offers both digital printing and digital cutting. The combination of the digital printing & cutting basically eliminate all initial setup costs. We also have inventory of die tools in various sizes and shapes that may fit your requirement.
