Artwork submission guidelines
Screen printing provides durability to meet outdoor requirements. With UV technology, print quality is unsurpassed. Accurate color matching and opacity of inks makes this process versatile for a variety of products, including membrane switch or backlit graphic overlays. Special effects and metallic colors are available. Other print styles cannot match the luster on the special materials used for label applications. Zoned textured hard coatings and 3M 467 printable adhesives are also available using the screen printing process.
Thermal transfer digital printing offers a quality image in Pantone and primary colors with outdoor durability. Perfect for high mix and low volume applications. Variable data, serial numbers (either bar code or human readable) of any font size or number of digits can be produced using this process. Not all of our materials are available with this process.
Digital UV inkjet printing offers the highest quality image using CMYK 4 color process with outdoor durability. This option enables you to use unlimited colors for the cost of 4 colors. Like thermal transfer, inkjet printing allows variable data, eg. serial numbers (either bar code or human readable) of any font size or number of digits. Compare to thermal transfer, UV inkjet printing does not have material restrictions. This process has the ability to print on customer supplied parts. Our latest UV inkjet printer/cutter also has the capabilities to prints CMYK + White + Clear for unmatched color, texture and dimension. Clear coat adds remarkably rich special effects ranging from high-gloss finish for area highlights to custom-textured effects.
Using a color spectrophotometer, we can achieve an error percentage of less than one delta unit. This ensures the highest quality consistently for custom color matching.
We can apply sequential human readable numbers, static & sequential barcodes, as well as UID codes to various label materials for a number of different applications. Using Adhesa Plates' digital printing technology, alpha-numeric sequences, custom font sizes and number of digits is unrestrictive.
Applications include warranty labels, asset labels, parking permits, DOD labels and model number /serial nameplates.
Our laminating process provides laminations for protection and/or high performance adhesive for special adhesion issues. High gloss and matte mylars create a solvent and scratch resistant barrier to protect the printed image. We exclusively use 3M adhesives, applying the adhesive that is best suited for your specific needs. For zoned adhesive requirements, a 3M sheet adhesive can be custom cut and applied to create custom selective adhesive coverage.
Polyurethane doming is the process of pouring liquid polyurethane on top of a label. The natural flow stop characteristics create a consistent beveled edge and a coating thickness of .060 to .080 that protects the printed image.
The urethane coating can be applied to most label materials, and to most custom shapes. Adhesa Plate can even apply special high performance adhesives for your special adhesion needs.
The urethane coating material is solvent resistant, UV resistant, scratch and dent resistant. Dents will actual “self repair”. Excellent overall durability for outdoor use. Consider replacing a metal plate with a lower cost, high quality 3 dimensional domed label.
The additional low cost that doming brings, adds tremendous value to a standard label which greatly enhances your customers 1st impression.
With Adhesa Plate’s “in-house processing” even small quantities are affordable. Our enhanced “post dome” cutting process creates a keypad overlay used for elastomeric keypads. See our
“Featured Products” for more details.
Close tolerance is guaranteed on a wide variety of standard or custom shapes and material thicknesses. We can provide kiss cut / strip form labels to accurate .060 thick custom panels. Note that rectangular shapes not requiring close tolerance can be cut without a die tool and rounded corners are available at minimal cost. Laser cutting is also available.
Digital laser cutting provides a much more versatile and accurate version of digital cutting. This option is suitable for short-run situations or when conventional die cutting is prohibited (i.e., materials over .060, number of cutouts or shapes that are prohibited by die cutting). Laser cutting is a great solution for 1st articles when needing to test close tolerances before ordering a cutting tool.
Digital plotter cutting provides another cutting solution without the cost of tooling. It is designed more for cutting labels and decals or non-critical tolerance polycarbonate applications. Again, a great solution for 1st articles.
Combining heat, pressure and quality craftsmanship, we can permanently form polycarbonate (lexan ©) or polyester (mylar ©) to create raised keypads for membrane switch graphic overlays. Besides embossed keys, custom images can also be formed.
