Digital laser cutting provides a much more versatile and accurate version of digital cutting. This option is suitable for short-run situations or when conventional die cutting is prohibited (i.e., materials over .060, number of cutouts or shapes that are prohibited by die cutting). Laser cutting is a great solution for 1st articles when needing to test close tolerances before ordering a cutting tool. However, for orders with a larger quantity, this process requires longer lead times, and is more costly. The cost of the die tool is eliminated.
